Shelf Identification: To facilitate management, inventory checks, and related operations, shelves are identified. A common method is to label shelves with letters. The numbering of item shelves can adopt a combination of letters and numbers. For example, the initial letters are A, B, C, D, with the second letter representing a sub-category, and numbers representing a further sub-category. The warehouse space is fully utilized, the shelves are neatly arranged, the aisles are wide and reasonably spaced, and the overall layout of the warehouse meets the standards of clarity. Such as: AA, AB, AC; BA, BB, BC; CA, CB, CC, CD; DA, DB, DC, DD, etc.
Storage Location Identification Method: Generally, the warehouse is first divided into storage location areas and reasonably numbered, usually represented by uppercase letters or numbers, such as Area A or Area 1. Each storage location area is then further numbered, for example, Area AA or Area 101. If it is a high-rack warehouse, further numbering is required, such as Location AA01 or Location 10101. Reasonable aisles should be reserved and numbered as well. Storage location numbering can also combine letters and numbers, similar to material numbering.
