There are generally 2 types of paper substrates for inkjet stickers:: 1.Paper-based surface material inkjet sticker paper Inkjet coated paper: Smooth and fine surface, smooth printing color, high ink holding capacity, fast drying, no ink blurring, low cost, wide printing adaptability, but not waterproof, oil-resistant, easy to tear, which can be improved after lamination. It is suitable for medicines, food, wine, cultural goods, etc., and can be laminated, single-color/color printing, gold or silver hot stamping, etc. Writing paper (offset paper) : Also known as rough paper, it has a rough surface and is suitable for inkjet printers. It can be printed and stamped, and is used for name tags, product labels, etc. Kraft paper: It is naturally brownish-yellow in color. The surface paper has a granular texture and strong quality. It is mostly used for food labels and food sealing stickers, such as labels for brown sugar ginger tea and handmade honey. Inkjet eggshell paper: It is used for anti-counterfeiting seals on electrical appliances, mobile phones, medicines, food, etc. Once peeled off, it breaks immediately and cannot be reused. It is divided into types such as non-breakable, medium-breakable and fragile. 2.Film-type surface material inkjet sticker paper Inkjet synthetic paper stickers: Generally made of BOPP material, they are of high strength, tear-resistant, punctuation-proof, wear-resistant, foldable, moisture-resistant, and resistant to insect damage. They have excellent water resistance and are suitable for outdoor publicity and advertising as well as non-paper trademark labels. The surface is coated with a special inkjet layer, featuring high ink retention, fast drying, and clear and rich printed colors. It is suitable for variable message printing and short-run printing, and is used in manufacturing, logistics, retail, medical and other fields. Inkjet pearlescent film: It belongs to BOPP material and has a pearlescent luster on the surface, making the label more distinctive. Inkjet PET (polyester film) : Inherently waterproof, tear-resistant, with good weather resistance and chemical corrosion resistance; It has high ink retention, dries quickly, and the printed patterns have clear and rich colors. The images have good scratch resistance and water resistance. It is suitable for information printing and short-run printing, and is compatible with digital printing and platform inkjet printers. It is used for labels of electronic products, electrical appliances, mechanical products, etc. Inkjet laser film: Made of BOPP material, it features a special inkjet coating that does not cause ink smudging and dries quickly. The printed colors are bright and the effect is excellent.
Acrylic (water-based gel/acrylic latex) : Using water as the solvent or dispersion medium, it is relatively affordable, generally non-toxic, odorless, and non-flammable, with a wide range of solid content and viscosity. Most of them have good heat resistance, and some can withstand high temperatures of around 90℃ or even 150℃. However, their low-temperature labeling performance is weak. If there are slight water or oil stains on the object to be labeled, it is difficult to exert adhesion. The initial adhesion force is established slowly, and it takes more than 20 hours to fully adhere after labeling. They are often used for labels of food, medicine, daily chemicals, and industrial products with high environmental protection requirements. General-purpose permanent acrylic latexes like AF101 and AP103 all fall into this category and can also be used in non-direct contact labeling scenarios such as food and medicine. Rubber-based adhesives (such as hot melt adhesives) : Hot melt adhesives fall into this category. They have strong fluidity and viscosity, are suitable for low-temperature labeling at -5℃ to 10℃, are environmentally friendly and non-toxic, and have better labeling effects than water-soluble adhesives when there is a trace amount of oil or water on the surface of the object to be labeled. The packaging and transportation cost is low, it does not freeze, no drying equipment is required, it is easy to bond impermeable surfaces, can quickly generate bonding strength, has good storage stability, the adhesive film is continuous, water-resistant and does not allow water vapor to pass through. However, it is not heat-resistant (generally used below 70℃), and is sensitive to temperature during processing and storage (it tends to become hard and brittle when the temperature drops below 15℃ in winter). It has poor re-adhesion and cannot be used for PVC materials or high-temperature labeling environments. It is more suitable for daily use in food, medicine, supermarket labels, etc., such as HP103 and other general-purpose permanent rubber-based adhesives. Solvent-based adhesives (oil-based adhesives) : Generally, they are cured with soft monomers such as acrylate or vinyl acetate to maintain their stickiness. They have strong adhesive force and can be repeatedly adhered. It has a wide viscosity range, short curing time, low energy consumption, good film-forming property and fastness, excellent water resistance, wide drying rate and open time, and can produce high initial bonding strength. Its bonding strength to difficult-to-bond materials with low polarity (such as PP paper, PVC and other smooth materials) is better than that of water-based glue. However, it is not environmentally friendly. The solvent is volatile, and the solid content is low with a strong odor and flammability, which can easily irritate the respiratory tract. Some organic solvents (such as benzene and toluene) are toxic. After applying adhesive to the surface of the non-porous dense material, the solvent must be completely evaporated before bonding; otherwise, it is prone to bubbling. Special function glue Some inkjet self-adhesive labels also use removable adhesives (which are easy to remove without leaving residue and are suitable for scenarios where labels need to be changed frequently), spacer adhesives (for labels with special structures), and adhesives developed specifically for extreme environments, such as those for high-temperature, low-temperature, corrosion-resistant, and wear-resistant adhesive label products. To meet the demands of variable message printing and short-run printing in industries such as electronics, electrical appliances, and mechanical manufacturing, adhesives that are suitable for inkjet printing, emphasize environmental protection, can be printed and pasted immediately, have strong adhesion and do not overflow, and are used for digital photos, labels, etc., also fall within the category of special functions.
There are generally 3 types of inkjet sticker paper release paper:: 1.Laminated release paper: 135gsm base paper is laminated and then coated with a release agent. It can be divided into single-laminated and double-laminated types. All-wood pulp paper (such as natural color/white kraft paper, etc.) is mostly selected. Offset paper, photo paper, etc. can also be used as base paper. It is necessary to ensure the plastic fastness of the laminated paper and no penetration points 2.CCK release paper: 120gsm base paper is first coated with special clay and then with release agent. It has good high-temperature resistance and is commonly used in the carbon fiber industry. However, there are few qualified products produced domestically because the surface clay is prone to damage the organosilicon. 3.Film release paper: Based on 100gsm polyester film, polypropylene film, etc., it has a smooth and flat surface, good dimensional stability, high strength, high temperature resistance, and good solvent resistance. It is suitable for high-precision and high-demand scenarios.
According to the nature of the "VOID" transfer, it can be classified into fully transferred type, semi-transferred type and non-transferred type. According to the position reserved for its main material, it can be divided into VOID negative plate and VOID positive plate. Among them, the semi-transfer type is the most widely used in practice.
It adopts a special layered structure design. The surface material and adhesive are treated in layers. When peeled off, the preset text or pattern will be separated and permanently remain on the surface of the attached object. At the same time, the label itself is damaged and cannot be reused, forming a dual anti-counterfeiting evidence.
Support. Printable text / LOGO, die-cut into irregular shapes, or combined with VOID developing film to enhance anti-counterfeiting.
Ensure that the surface of the object to be pasted is clean, dry and flat,Stick it firmly at one time and press for a few seconds to avoid repeated adjustments.
Engraving film is a material that, after being cut by a computer engraving machine, can transfer patterns or characters onto surfaces of the same kind.
Wrap Film is a kind of thin film material used to change the color and texture of the surface of objects. It mainly achieves the appearance color change and decoration of objects such as cars, furniture, electronic products, and architectural glass through the method of pasting and covering. It features convenient construction, rich colors and protection of the base material, and has become a popular personalized modification and decoration material in recent years.
Furniture adhesive materials refer to a type of adhesive products used in the manufacturing, assembly, maintenance or decoration of furniture to achieve the connection, fixation or strengthening of materials. They combine components made of different materials such as wood, metal, plastic, glass and leather through adhesive force, and are one of the key auxiliary materials in furniture production
Glass decorative adhesive materials are a type of composite adhesive materials specifically designed for the decoration, protection or functionalization of glass surfaces. They firmly bond the decorative layer (such as patterns, textures, functional coatings, etc.) to the glass substrate through an adhesive layer, featuring both aesthetic appeal, practicality and ease of construction. It is widely applied in scenarios such as building curtain walls, interior glass partitions, furniture glass, decorative paintings, and glass panels of electronic products
